Park Ridge has a layered housing stock that reflects its long history as a near-northwest suburb of Chicago. The streets near the historic downtown and the Pickwick Theater include significant 1920s and 1930s Tudor Revivals and Colonial Revivals. The post-WWII neighborhoods that filled in across the city feature solid ranches and split-levels.
